The archaeological excavation DV 2016 has set the objective to verify structure and development of settlement in the lower part of acropolis called Dolní Valy. This area belongs to the one of the least excavated areas of Great Moravian stronghold Mikulčice-Valy. Dolní Valy has been settled for a short period at the end of Great Moravian period and it was use for residential and production activity. The excavation brought plentiful important findings; special attention deserves mainly evidence of metal casting production and fragment of lead rhombic cross with a distinctive lattice structure. The surprising findings are graves countersunk shallow to that time terrain and equipped by an axe, a knife and other fittings.
