Journey to the 9th Century and Back
Discovering the Fortification of the Mikulčice-Valy Stronghold
We invite you to the guided tour of the Mikulčice-Valy fortified settlement. Together we will discover and document the remains of the fortifications from the 9th-century Slavic site. We will walk over the both actual and assumed fortification walls of the early medieval Mikulčice centre. The tour will end in the place of ongoing excavation of the fortification and outer bailey conducted by Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Brno.
