2018
The archaeological excavation R 2018 has taken place on the area of 150 m2. This fieldwork has uncovered a fortification at the outer bailey of Mikulčice Stronghold.
The excavation is a rescue excavation initiated in reaction toa road constuction. This road will connect the NKP Mikulčice Visitor Centre with a adjacent/planned bridge. The bridge over the Morava river allows visitors of Mikulčice Stronghold to get to the Slovak side of the Great Moravian settlement.
